Matt Neumann

Matt Neumann has been working in real estate development, home building, and solar development for 18 years. He graduated from Wisconsin Lutheran College with a bachelor’s degree in Business Economics, then received an MBA in Marketing and Finance from Marquette University. Following graduation he joined his dad, Mark, in Neumann Developments, which is currently Milwaukee area’s largest residential land development company.
Matt is a natural leader with a spirit of entrepreneurship. He continually evaluates current market conditions and recognizes innovative opportunities. Matt is a founding partner of Tim O’Brien Homes, Harbor Homes, and SunVest Solar. In addition, he is a partner of Halen Homes. His partner building companies construct homes that cover a range of lifestyles from a buyer’s first new home, to a semi-custom home, to a condominium home or townhome. One of Matt’s earliest ventures was constructing an energy producing home. This experience led to the creation of SunVest Solar. SunVest Solar has grown to become Wisconsin’s largest solar developer focused on market driven environmental stewardship and is ranked as one of the largest solar developers in America.
Neumann Companies started as a small family company and has grown to become a family of companies. As a second-generation family business owner, Matt is committed and recognizes the long-term approach to business growth and investment. His passion is investing in people and the communities in which we live and work.
Matt’s business teams have been widely recognized both nationally and locally for their successes over the years. They have been named numerous times on the list of fastest growing privately owned companies in America by Inc. 5000 Magazine. Matt was awarded 40 under 40 by the Business Journal, Professional Builder, and Midwest Renewable Energy News. He was also recently awarded the Wisconsin Way Future Leader of the Year. In addition, Matt received the Builder/Developer of the Year from his peers in the Metropolitan Builders Association.
Matt and his wife Amy reside in Hartland with their four children: Max, Brooke, Hailey, and Alisa. Matt and Amy are active in their church, other charities in the community, and remain committed to living, working, and investing in Wisconsin’s future.
I was raised with the understanding that, to whom much is given, much is expected in return. This is a lifelong principle that I strive to live by. Giving back, to our employees and our communities, is a privilege that we take seriously.
